Alaska
Since 2006 I have been visiting a different place in Alaska each year, and hope to continue doing so.
2006: Wrangel/St Elias NP, Seward, and Valdez
2007: Homer and Kachemak Bay State Park
Coldfoot is 175 miles up the Dalton and is the only place with services between the Yukon and Deadhorse, near the end. It has a motel, cafe, showers, and other services.

Here is Dave and Ben in campsite 13 on the way up.
Clouds started moving in late in the day. Here is a ridge behind camp.
And typical forest and tundra in the area. It's around 1400 feet altitude here
we stayed here on the way back down as well, when it was clearer

The next morning we did a short hike to Marion Creek Falls. Here is some of the tundra on the way
