Alaska
Since 2006 I have been visiting a different place in Alaska each year, and hope to continue doing so.
2006: Wrangel/St Elias NP, Seward, and Valdez
2007: Homer and Kachemak Bay State Park
Barrett Spur is a prominent ridge on the north side of Mt. Hood. I hiked up the Elk Cove trail and camped at Dollar Puddle, more commonly known as Dollar Lake.

Barrett Spur has an unofficial trail that starts from Dollar Puddle. Here is a view of Hood about 15 minutes up that trail.
After about 40 minutes, I got to the lower viewpoint at 7300 feet.

A little critter all the way up there.
