Alaska
Since 2006 I have been visiting a different place in Alaska each year, and hope to continue doing so.
2006: Wrangel/St Elias NP, Seward, and Valdez
2007: Homer and Kachemak Bay State Park
After arriving at Aasgard Pass at 7700 feet, we headed out across a basin with much snow still in mid-July. Although we had clouds for the hike to the pass, the clouds cleared when we arrived.
Isolation Lake is the first one over the pass
Tranquil Lake is next.
Small tarns with McClellan Peak behind.
