Alaska
Since 2006 I have been visiting a different place in Alaska each year, and hope to continue doing so.
2006: Wrangel/St Elias NP, Seward, and Valdez
2007: Homer and Kachemak Bay State Park
Little Annapurna is a peak of about 8450 feet on the south side of the Enchantment Basin. It has a very gradual slope to its summit on its north side, making it a popular dayhike destination. But it's south side, facing Mt. Ranier among many other peaks, is a steep cliff with a dramatic view.

Mt. McClellan to the east
A nearby marmot waits to see if we will spill our trail mix
