Enchantment Basin Traverse - 2009

Three of us - myself, Gordon, and Claudio, backpacked across the Enchantment Basin, in central Washington (near Leavenworth) from July 12-16. We had a thunderstorm the first night, it was cloudy the next morning. But we had sun and warmth most of the trip. For those familiar with the area, here was our itinerary:

• Day 1: hike to Colchuck Lake in the afternoon and camp there
• Day 2: Hike around Colchuck Lake, over Aasgard Pass, to a camp in the Brasingamen Lakelets
• Day 3: Dayhike Little Annapurna peak and then move camp a short distance to the ridge above Perfection Lake
• Day 4: A long dayhike loop to Prusik Pass, Gnome Lake, Temple Lake, and back on the trail from Viviane Lake; then move camp to Snow Lake
• Day 5: Hike out from Snow Lake
