Since 2006 I have been visiting a different place in Alaska each year, and hope to continue doing so.
2006: Wrangel/St Elias NP, Seward, and Valdez
2007: Homer and Kachemak Bay State Park
The Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, west of Aspen, is often considered a very crowded wilderness area. But the crowds head for the Maroon Bells peaks on the east side near Aspen. This shuttle trip from Siberia Pass in the south, to Redstone in the west was remote, and we saw almost nobody. With Doug Moore in 1993.
